Puppy contract and guarantee

This puppy is sold as a pet quality puppy only. Puppy is warranted only for the purpose of being a companion animal. While it may be capable of performing other functions, no warranty is given as to its fitness for any special purpose.

Breeder guarantees that the puppy is healthy, and free of known contagious diseases. Puppy is up to date vaccinations and dewormings required for its age at the time of this agreement.

The buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within three (3) days of receipt of the puppy, excluding weekends. If the puppy is determined to be in poor health, as evidenced by a veterinarian's written statement, the buyer can elect to keep the puppy, assuming all costs for its care, or may return the puppy for a full refund upon the breeder's receipt of the veterinarian's statement regarding the puppy's health. This provision will expire 72 hours after buyer takes possession of the puppy, excluding weekends. A shot record schedule will be issued with your pup. This schedule must be adhered to or warranty is forfeit. No Veterinarian fees /bills will be paid by breeder without prior written agreements.

This pup is guaranteed against Catastrophic (life threatening) genetic issues for a one year period. Said puppy is guaranteed to be free from hip dysplasia as evidence on radiographic findings at one years of age, evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). We will give you a comparable puppy if this rating is below “fair”. This does not include hip deformations or abnormalities caused by injury, neglect, or other environmental conditions. (i.e. doing agility or catching Frisbees or jumping up and down off truck beds etc. as youngsters.)

You have 6 (Six) weeks from date of receiving pup to have eyes examined by ophthalmologist. If eyes have a deformity that is life threatening such as blindness a replacement pup of like pup (breeders’ choice) will be offered after receiving pup back from buyer.

If the said puppy is sold then this guarantee becomes null and void. If the dog is bred before evaluations for eyes or hip have occurred then warranty is void.

Buyer agrees to notify breeder of any health or temperament problems that develop in this puppy/dog during its life, whether it pertains to the guarantee or not. (i.e. cancer, heart problems, etc.) Breeder strongly encourages buyer to attend puppy obedience classes with puppy to help provide proper socialization

We also offer a one year temperament guarantee. If there is a temperament problem that cannot be resolved through obedience and corrective training we will trade your puppy for a new puppy from a litter of OUR choice we will choose the new puppy based on disposition, not sex or color.

If at any time the buyer is unable to keep the said puppy please contact us. We will be happy to help you place your dog in a good home or will take him/her back here in our home. No refund of money or replacement puppy will be offered under these circumstances. At no time should you take your puppy/dog to a shelter/pound. We guarantee we WILL always take our puppies back at anytime.

We offer no guarantee on to the size of your new puppy. All though our dogs come from generations of proven miniatures/toys crop outs are still possible.

The said puppy has been vaccinated and dewormed. A record/schedule will be provided.

This guarantee expires one year from date of purchase of your new puppy!
