Karma< Caramel x Levi

I thought it was long overdue to send you an update on how we’re doing with our puppy (you’ll recall we took Carmel and Levi’s 1st female pup in early November). I’ve attached a couple of photos so you can see how she’s grown up – isn’t she beautiful!? We named our pup Karma and have been absolutely delighted with her from the minute we left the farm. Even my husband, who wasn’t exactly enthusiastic about getting a puppy, is absolutely in love with her. I’ve never seen him like this – Karma just lights up his world! She is exactly what we wanted in a puppy/dog – she loves everyone and has brought such joy into our home. Our three kids adore her. Jack and I took Karma to Puppy classes and she is about to start “Manners 2” this week at the Crocus Kennel and Obedience Club. She is smart as a whip and loves to “work” for treats (especially liver...yuck!). We are thinking we will put her in agility training when she’s a little older because she just seems like a natural. She toilet trained very quickly, but we did clean up our share of accidents. Putting a bell at the back door really helped since she was so quiet we didn’t always notice if she was waiting to get out. I thought it would be hard to train her to ring the bell, but she figured it out almost immediately. We just love Karma’s temperament – we haven’t met anyone she didn’t love! She is good with kids and very tolerant of being handled (sometimes manhandled) by little ones. Her favorite place to go is to the school when the kids get out. She is also great with other dogs. We take her to the dog park frequently so that she gets used to other dogs and she loves every minute of it. At first she was very submissive and just rolled over on her back as soon as any dog came by, but she’s developed some self-confidence and plays with just about every dog there. - she’s now about 12” at the wither and 9 ½ pounds. ...
